Berlin roots – since 1984
Our story doesn't begin in a large warehouse. It starts with a small PA system under a bunk bed in West Berlin. What was originally intended for the band's own concerts gradually became something more: in 1984, it became the "PA Verleih der Musiker" – a musicians' PA rental.
At the time, professional event technology as a service barely existed in the form we know today. Much of what happened grew out of music, the scene, improvisation and the drive to make events happen at all. That's the environment PAM/events grew out of.
From the scene to event service provider
The early years were defined by small concerts, improvised venues, long nights and a lot of hands-on work. Equipment was loaded, built, managed, taken down and brought back – often by the same people. It wasn't just technical skill that was needed, but creativity, stamina and the ability to find a solution quickly.
That direct connection to the event shaped an understanding that still matters today: technology doesn't just need to be there. It needs to fit the moment, the space, the audience and the flow.
In 1992, the music tech rental became PAM/events GmbH. From those spontaneous beginnings, a company with structure, a loyal client base and cross-discipline event technology emerged.
Event technology that helped shape Berlin
Over the years, we've been part of many defining moments in Berlin's event and cultural landscape – from concerts and club culture to techno events, festivals and public programmes, through to corporate events, award ceremonies and productions in extraordinary locations.
That history shapes how we work today. We know that events rarely follow a standard template. In Berlin especially, unusual venues, tight schedules, high expectations and creative ideas tend to collide all at once.
Today, Team PAM is part of The Cue Group. That means our deep-rooted Berlin experience now combines with the structures, standards and capabilities of a larger network.
