FAQ
Yes, you can rent an LED wall for outdoor events from us. For open-air events, city festivals, public viewing, outdoor corporate events, and festivals, we use weather-resistant LED modules that are suitable for outdoor use. However, it is not only important that the LED wall is bright enough. Key factors also include the protection rating, structural stability, installation method, and safe on-site mounting.
Outdoor LED walls are available with different pixel pitch options. The right pixel pitch depends on how close the audience will be to the screen and what type of content will be displayed. Presentations, camera feeds, or detailed graphics often require a different resolution than large stage visuals or public viewing setups with a greater viewing distance.
When using an LED wall outdoors, wind protection is especially important. An outdoor LED wall must be planned according to the location, installation height, and expected wind loads. This may include suitable truss systems, Layher structures, ballast, guy lines, or other structurally sound solutions. Simply placing an LED wall outside would not be professional and could be dangerous.
That is why we check in advance which LED modules, brightness level, pixel pitch, and support structure make sense for your outdoor event. This gives you an LED wall that is clearly visible, technically reliable, and safely installed.
A technical failure can never be ruled out 100%. That is exactly why we place great emphasis on careful planning, regular maintenance, and internal quality control procedures before any equipment is deployed to an event. Devices such as video switchers, signal distributors, media playback systems, cables, adapters, and other technical components are thoroughly inspected and maintained to keep the risk of failure as low as possible.
We do not automatically bring a backup unit for every single device. In many setups, this would be neither economical nor practical. Instead, we plan according to the specific requirements, risk level, and type of event. For particularly critical productions, we discuss in advance which components should be additionally safeguarded with backup solutions.
For full-service events, our technical team is on-site and able to respond immediately if an issue occurs. Because we operate with our own equipment, established workflows, and multiple locations, we can also arrange replacement equipment at short notice when necessary.
Our goal is simple: prevent problems wherever possible, minimize disruptions quickly, and keep your event running smoothly and reliably from a technical perspective.
An LED wall often becomes worthwhile from around 100 attendees onwards, especially when content needs to be clearly visible to all guests or when the venue cannot be fully darkened. Compared to projection, an LED wall is significantly brighter, offers higher contrast, and is far less dependent on ambient light conditions. This is a major advantage for conferences, presentations, annual general meetings, product launches, and corporate events.
An LED wall is also particularly beneficial when speakers, presenters, or moderators move directly in front of the presentation area. With a traditional projector setup, people can easily step into the projection beam and cast shadows onto the screen. This makes content harder for the audience to see and can create an unprofessional impression. With an LED wall, this issue does not occur because the image is generated directly by the screen itself rather than being projected from the front.
For smaller events or venues that can be effectively darkened, a projector may still be the more cost-effective solution. That is why we do not automatically recommend an LED wall. Instead, we evaluate the room size, lighting conditions, stage setup, viewing distances, content requirements, and budget to determine the most suitable solution for your event.
This ensures you receive exactly the system that makes the most sense for your specific event.
The right solution depends on the space, format and content.
Projection is particularly suitable for large image areas, while media technology supports more complex setups and workflows.
