FAQ
That depends on the planned Wi-Fi setup, the number of attendees, the building structure, and how the network will actually be used. There is a significant difference between guests simply checking emails, participants downloading presentations at the same time, or multiple devices per person remaining constantly connected to the network. For that reason, we do not provide a fixed number. Instead, we design the event Wi-Fi solution according to the specific requirements of the venue and event.
We use professional managed access points from UniFi and Netgear, which are designed to support events with a high number of concurrent users. These access points are available in different performance classes, allowing us to select the right model based on the room size, coverage area, and expected user density. A standard consumer-grade router is simply not suitable for these kinds of requirements.
The building structure also plays an important role. Walls, ceilings, glass surfaces, steel structures, multiple floors, and complex room layouts can all have a significant impact on Wi-Fi coverage. That is why we consider not only the number of attendees but also the placement and distribution of access points throughout the building or event site.
For larger events, we deploy multiple access points to distribute network traffic efficiently and prevent devices from interfering with one another. The goal is to provide a stable, high-performance Wi-Fi network for attendees, production teams, control rooms, check-in systems, livestreaming, and other technical applications.
The result is not a temporary or improvised network, but a professionally designed networking solution tailored to the specific needs of your event.
Yes, you can rent preconfigured laptops, notebooks, and tablets from us. In fact, this is one of our strengths. We do not simply deliver the devices in boxes. Instead, we prepare them so they can be used immediately at your congress, training session, exam, registration desk, or event.
On request, we can also configure several hundred devices with the same setup. This may include the installation of specific software, browser settings, Wi-Fi profiles, user accounts, start pages, presentation files, access credentials, or locked kiosk modes. This ensures that all participants work under the same conditions and that no time is lost on-site with setup, updates, or technical issues.
This is a real advantage, especially for larger events. The devices arrive at the venue ready for use, can be set up by our team if required, and can be used straight away. We coordinate the configuration with you in advance, test the devices, and make sure that the laptops, notebooks, or tablets are perfectly aligned with your event workflow.
Event Wi-Fi is not comparable to the type of Wi-Fi typically found in a home or small office. A standard home router is usually designed to support a limited number of devices, often around 50 or fewer, and can quickly reach its limits when many users are connected at the same time. It also offers only limited options for professional management, monitoring, and network segmentation.
At an event, the situation is very different. Guests, speakers, exhibitors, technicians, and production teams may all be using smartphones, laptops, tablets, check-in systems, streaming equipment, and presentation devices simultaneously. This creates significant peaks in network demand that can easily overwhelm a conventional Wi-Fi setup.
For that reason, professional event Wi-Fi is planned specifically for each event. We use managed access points, strategic coverage planning, a robust network architecture, separate networks for guests and production teams, and, if required, active network monitoring throughout the event. This allows us to track network usage in real time and make adjustments if necessary.
The most important difference is simple: standard Wi-Fi is designed for everyday use, while event Wi-Fi is designed for large numbers of concurrent users, wider coverage areas, high reliability, and professional operational requirements.
For conferences, trade fairs, annual general meetings, training sessions, and hybrid events, this is essential to ensure that internet access, registration systems, livestreaming, and technical workflows operate smoothly and reliably.
