Insufficient power supply is a common issue, especially in older buildings, event venues without dedicated stage infrastructure, or at outdoor events. The good news: there is almost always a solution. It just depends on which one makes the most sense for your situation.
In many cases it is sufficient to expand the existing infrastructure with professional power distributors and adapters and deliberately spread the load across multiple circuits. If the total consumption of all trades — audio, lighting, video, catering and others — exceeds the available supply, an external power source can be added.
We calculate the right solution during the planning phase based on the actual consumption of all involved trades. This way you get no oversized or overpriced setup, but exactly what your event needs: reliable, safe and without unpleasant surprises during build-up.
Yes — and this is frequently underestimated. Especially at smaller events in venues without dedicated event infrastructure — such as restaurants, showrooms, office spaces or historic buildings — the existing standard electrical supply can quickly reach its limits.
The problem usually doesn't come from individual devices, but from the combination: when audio, lighting, catering equipment, coffee machines and other consumers run simultaneously, standard fuses can trip or voltage can drop. This tends to happen at exactly the wrong moment — in the middle of a presentation or during a gala dinner.
We help you assess already in the planning phase whether the existing power connection is sufficient for your setup or whether a simple upgrade makes sense. This way you avoid technical interruptions and your event runs professionally and stably — right down to the power supply.
Last-minute changes to the technical scope are generally possible, but the later they are communicated, the more complex the implementation becomes. Power supply is not a component you simply adjust on the fly — distributors, cable runs, circuit breakers and connections must match the actual load.
That is why we plan from the start with a realistic safety buffer. This means small adjustments to the technical scope become routine and don't need to be recalculated or improvised each time. Larger changes — such as an additional technical area, a second stage or more lighting power — we discuss as early as possible so we can adjust the power supply accordingly.
